MARC train canceled for Friday evening commute

Riders who take MARC’s Brunswick Line home could be in for a tricky commute on Friday evening.

Train 881 (6 p.m. departure from Washington) will be canceled due to CSX track work. Train 879 (5:40 p.m. departure from Washington) will wait an extra 20 minutes before departing Washington in order to accommodate train 881’s passenger.

Train 879 will leave at 6 p.m., in place of train 881, and make all stops to Brunswick and Martinsburg.

This could result in some crowding on train 879, as it accommodates the usual passengers as well as those who normally take train 881.
