Metro bus involved in crash

Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon involving a Metro bus in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Northwest Washington.

D.C. police responded to the report of an accident at 14th and Clifton streets about 4:15 p.m., said Officer Paul Metcalf, a spokesman. Medics evaluated eight people at the scene, including a child, and took those people to a hospital with minor injuries, said Pete Piringer, a fire department spokesman.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
