Ride On/Metro sales office relocating in Rockville

If you’re planning on buying Ride On and Metro SmarTrip cards in Rockville, be aware that the sales office is moving next week.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 19, the sales office will move to the Treasury Department (255 Rockville Pike, Suite L-15, Rockville). Those offices will be open between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

And if you head to the current sales office (101 Monroe St., Rockville) on Monday, there will be some limitations due to the relocation of equipment to the new offices. You can only pay with cash and checks, and you won’t be able to add value to your SmarTrip card or purchase a 7-Day Regional Pass. (You can buy a SmarTrip there on Monday, but you will have to go to another location to actually add value to the card.) Here’s a list of retail stores where you can buy fare cards and conduct business.
