Sobriety checkpoint planned for College Park

Authorities plan to target drunk drivers in the College Park area with a sobriety checkpoint planned for Saturday night.

Three police agencies will be conducting the checkpoint in the 7000 block of Baltimore Avenue. The checkpoint is scheduled to run from Saturday at 10 p.m. to Sunday at 3 a.m.

This spot, right around the corner from the College Park Metro stop, is just south of the main University of Maryland campus.

The checkpoint will be conducted by the Maryland State Police, University of Maryland Police and the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Special Operations Division.
