Track work could lead to MARC Camden Line delays

Track work beginning this week and lasting for a month could lead to delays on MARC’s Camden Line. CSX will be replacing steel rails at various points between Riverdale and St. Denis, the Maryland Transit Administration announced Tuesday.

The repairs will begin Tuesday and last through Aug. 23. Work will be done Mondays through Thursdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Speed restrictions put in place because of the work could lead to delays of at least five to 15 minutes, according to the MTA. Two trains could also experience additional delays because of their timetables: Trains 851 (leaving Camden Yards at 8:05 a.m.) and 844 (leaving Union Station at 8 a.m.).
