VRE delayed by disabled freight train

7:50 A.M. Update:

VRE trains are experiencing smaller delays while passing the disabled freight train, according to the rail agency. The freight train is still stopped and trains are still delayed, but they aren’t the delays of 10 to 15 minutes as they were earlier this morning.

Original Post:

VRE riders are going to experience some delays due to a disabled freight train near Lorton. Due to this freight train, VRE trains are boarding from the far track at Lorton and Woodbridge, causing 10 to 15 minute delays for trains after these stations.
