VRE offering eight-car service for holiday travelers leaving D.C. early

Today is Good Friday and tonight is the first night of Passover. As a result, plenty of people are going to leave work early to get a head start on their holiday weekends.

The Virginia Railway Express noted that the largest number of commuters on Good Friday tend to ride Fredericksburg Line train 303 (leaving Union Station at 3:35 p.m.) and Manassas Line train 327 (leaving Union Station at 3:45 p.m.). Both of those trains will have eight cars available for riders to accommodate holiday travelers ducking out early.

Manassas Line train 329 (leaving Union Station at 4:25 p.m.) will also operate with eight cars.
