Tuesday night’s commute: 14th St. NW reopens

Authorities closed 14th Street NW in the District around the 600 block to foot and vehicle traffic shortly after 4 p.m., Clarence Williams reports. Streets reopened shortly before 6 p.m.

The road was closed in both directions at F St. because of a report of a suspicious package, police said. Some nearby side streets were also closed, according to police.

D.C. Fire & EMS personnel were assisting police with their investigation, according to authorities.
