9 A.M. Update:

A pedestrian was struck at Mt. Pleasant Road and Irving Street in Northwest, per to the D.C. Fire Department.

8:40 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is still very, very backed up approaching the Springfield Interchange.

The inner loop of the Beltway is jammed at I-66. There are also still inner loop delays at Telegraph Road, but they have eased slightly.

I-66 East remains slow at Chain Bridge Road, while I-395 North is still sluggish at multiple spots between the Springfield Interchange and the 14th Street Bridge.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-395 near the Navy Yard exit is blocking the norhtbound right lane, according to the District Department of Transportation.

There’s police and fire department activity near the Douglass Bridge, which should delay traffic around that spot.

8 A.M. Update:

The inner loop of the Beltway is jammed up at Telegraph Road and I-66.

I-66 East is also pretty backed up at Chain Bridge Road.

There’s an accident on southbound I-395 near the Navy Yard exit. Expect headaches in that area.

7:30 A.M. Update:

Traffic is in­cred­ibly snarled on I-95 North approaching the Springfield Interchange. Major, major delays approaching that area.

7:10 A.M. Update:

The inner loop of the Beltway is already backed up at I-66.

A disabled vehicle on northbound I-295 between Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue and Benning Road in Northeast could snarl traffic in that spot.

There’s also a disabled vehicle on 5th Street and New York Avenue in Northeast, which will likely cause some traffic problems.

6:45 A.M. Update:

There are backups on I-395 North approaching Seminary Road.

I-95 North is still pretty snarled just south of Woodbridge.

6:15 A.M. Update:

The southbound right off-ramp from the inner loop of the Beltway to U.S. 50. has reopened in Maryland.

I-95 North is pretty backed up approaching the Woodbridge area right now.

Good morning, commuters. There will be early showers in the region, with light showers and sprinkles ending around mid-morning, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Expect some slick roads and be careful when you head out.
