Update: I-95 North near Springfield reopens

Updated post at 10:40 a.m.

Virginia State Police reopened all northbound Interstate 95 lanes in Springfield after a Tuesday morning accident involving a tractor-trailer.

Police said two right lanes on the highway opened at 10:35 a.m. Both lanes were closed for hours while crews cleaned up the crash.

I-95 motorist motorists: Beware.

Driving north on the highway near the Capital Beltway in Springfield could be a little tricky Tuesday morning.

Virginia State Police closed two right lanes on I-95 near the Beltway after a 7:12 a.m. accident. Two left lanes are open. police said.
