Red Line trains halted at Brookland

Red Line riders headed toward Glenmont may experience delays during rush hour due to a brake problem on one train.

At 5:19 p.m., riders were told to exit the train with the mechanical problem at Brookland. Other trains were held up behind the affected train.

A metro spokesman said he did not know when trains would start carrying passengers past Brookland again, but he predicted that it would be around 5:35 or shortly afterward.
