Update: Northeast Washington streets reopen after fatal single-car crash

Updated post at 12:28 p.m.

D.C. police said all lanes of Florida Avenue NE are open at H Street NE after Wednesday’s 4 a.m. fatal single-car accident closed the intersection and several surrounding streets.

Authorities have reopened roadways near the fatal accident. Only one closure remains on Florida Avenue NE at H Street NE.

D.C. police closed several Northeast streets Wednesday after a fatal single-car accident.

Authorities said a man died in a 4 a.m. crash on 14th Street NE and Florida Avenue NE. Police said his car struck a pole in the area.

H Street NE from 12 Street NE to Benning Road NE is shut down because of the accident. Florida Avenue NE from 12th Street NE to Benning Road NE is also closed in both directions.
