Update: Woman died in moped accident, portion of Connecticut Avenue NW still closed

D.C. police said the woman riding the moped died as a result of the crash.

Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman, said the woman collided with a truck.

D.C. police closed part of Connecticut Avenue NW Friday morning after a collision involving a moped and truck.

Connecticut Avenue NW is closed between Ellicott Street and Nebraska Avenue NW.

Authorities said a woman riding the moped was taken to the hospital after the 8:26 a.m. crash. Her condition was not released.
