Ah, the archives!
We KNEW there had to be some kind of transportation angle when Frederick J. Ryan Jr. was named the new publisher of The Washington Post on Tuesday.
Thanks to the folks at the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, we found one.
Here’s a November 2011 shot of Ryan unveiling a statue of President Ronald Reagan that stands on the arrivals and departures roadway at DCA. Ryan, 59, was a top presidential aide in the Reagan Administration and a key leader in the construction of his presidential library and numerous other initiatives after Reagan left office in 1989. He was also part of the founding leadership team at Politico. Ryan will begin his job at The Post on Oct. 1.
