And now a few words from Carlos Rogers.

In an interview with the Sports Junkies on 106.7, he was asked about his relationship with DeAngelo Hall, after his recent comment to David Elfin and a Twitter skirmish and internet dustup inflamed by an unending lockout (oh, to be writing about tweaked hammies in OTAs): “We’ve got a great relationship. We’ve got a great relationship.”

Okay, okay. On to the issue of his inability to hold onto interceptions.

“That’s something that I do work on. I don’t know what the problem is. ... If someone was looking at my bio, it doesn’t say Carlos has so many interceptions, it says I have so many tackles ... I did this, I did that. If I was locked onto a receiver, I took him out of the game. What makes you look worse is that we don’t have an offense. If we had a team that didn’t rely on [defense to create turnovers], [I’d] be one of the top corners in the league, he’s gonna get up in your face, he’s gonna take a receiver out of the game. I look at the overall package of what I can bring.”

Favorite/least favorite defensive coordinator? “My favorite has been Gregg Williams. my least favorite would probably be Greg Blache.”

On the Redskins not re-signing him: “It’s just a feeling. I don’t think that they look at me as a terrible corner, a bad corner. I think it’s a spot that they would like to get a better corner. That’s just my feeling right now. People are texting asking do you want to leave, this and that. I don’t want to leave. I’m ready to leave. ... If they don’t think that much of me to sign me, I’m ready to go.

And, because there’s a lockout and a Quarterback Controversy, he was asked which quarterback he’d go with, John Beck, Rex Grossman, or Donovan McNabb. “I’d probably start Rex. He’s been there, has the experience...if that doesn’t work out, then I’d go with Beck. I wouldn’t go with a guy who doesn’t have experience with this team.”
