DeSean Jackson may be on verge of a holdout, Mike Vick hints

It’s still very, very, very early in the NFL season, but there’s a report out of Philadelphia that DeSean Jackson may be on the verge of a contract holdout.

The source for this report is Eagles quarterback Mike Vick, who said there was uncertainty over whether Jackson would report to training camp Wednesday at Lehigh.

“Hopefully, he’ll be here tomorrow,” Vick said. “DeSean just has some things to think about and some decisions to make that only himself can make. ...

“I’m just being realistic about the situation. It’s all in what DeSean wants. We’re moving forward and hopefully he’ll be here. I think he will.”

Jackson is in the last year of his rookie deal and stands to make $565,000 in base salary this year. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, had no comment.
