The box score for the last 24 hours of pro hoops at Staples Center reads like this: 522 points, five overtimes, two victories for Los Angeles teams.

But what really counts is a seconds-long highlight clip supplied by Wizards’ All-Star Game dunk-contest robbery victim JaVale McGee, who leaps over an imaginary Kia to block a shot by the Clippers’ Blake Griffin in Washington’s 127-119 double-overtime loss Wednesday night.

Griffin was the overall winner , in a game that left everyone feeling a little fuzzy. (Asked the last time he played more than 50 minutes, Griffin said, “Uh, I don’t know, to be honest. That’s a good question.”) The Wizards just picked themselves up and moved on.
