Jerry Jones says Mathias Kiwanuka is right. So that ends that.

This whole kerfuffle began when the owner/pizza huckster/hip hopper talked a little smack about the Giants-Cowboys series back in July. He kindly invited Cowboys fans to Dallas to “watch us beat the Giants’ [backsides].” On Thursday, Kiwanuka shot back that “it’s gotta be tough on the outside looking in on all these championships lately.”

That wasn’t about to be the last word, though.

“I agree with him,” Jones told USA Today, “and the only thing I’m saying is that I’ll never get used to it. It is tough on the outside looking in. That’s the way I felt when I got in the NFL as an owner. I didn’t want to be on the outside, looking in.

“The Giants are an inspiration ... it is opening the NFL season in front of such a high-profile forum ... the Wednesday night game — all of that is there. We have that kind of respect for them.”

The teams’ next matchup is Wednesday in the NFL season opener, which is in MetLife Stadium because the Giants, you know, won the Super Bowl.
