It has been nearly impossible for late-night comedians to find a way into the Jerry Sandusky-Penn State sex scandal. This is very, very thin ice. Non-existent ice, even.

Which means the comedy has to be rooted in outrage. First, there was Jason Sudeikis’ flabbergasted devil on “Saturday Night Live.”

On Tuesday night, Jon Stewart had fresh material — Sandusky’s interview with Bob Costas — and a similarly flabbergasted reaction.

Three key takeaways:

1) The only time you repeat a question is when you’re guilty.

2) Indeed, what is the deal with this “creepy guy club?”

3) And ... this is the best defense a defensive coordinator can come up with?
