NBA players haven’t had much trouble finding places to keep their skills fresh during the lockout.
Last month Kevin Durant put on a long-range show for the ages in a 66-point explosion at Harlem’s famed Rucker Park. In early July Last Brandon Jennings scored 81 points in a Long Beach charity game.
Washington Wizards guard Nick Young poured in 60 in a Drew League game in Los Angeles, which is where Kobe Bryant finally got into the act himself.
The most talked about basketball player in China — before today’s Georgetown basketball brawl — dropped 43 points including a game-winner during a Drew League game on Tuesday.
Bryant’s final shot — a fadeaway jumper over Oklahoma City’s James Harden — triggered a fan mob on the court.
Bryant’s team won the contest 139-137.

Meanwhile, police are still investigating an incident involving Kobe Bryant at a San Diego church. According to reports, Bryant allegedly grabbed a cell phone from a man who he believed was taking cell phone pictures of him and his wife, Vanessa. When he found there were no photos on the phone, Bryant left.
The San Diego police department provided an especially vague description of the happening: “Something occured and (Bryant) was involved.”
