Pittsburgh Steelers sign 15 undrafted rookies

While the Baltimore Ravens were dumping veterans from their roster this morning, their AFC North rivals were busy loading up on young talent.

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed 15 undrafted rookies just as the transaction period opened Tuesday morning.

The haul included four wide receivers, a pair of running backs and South Carolina tight end Weslye Saunders who was botted from the Gamecocks after lying to NCAA investigators about trips financed by agents. Saunders was predicted to have a breakout season and emerge as a high draft pick before he crashed out of Columbia.

Here’s the full list of newly-signed black and gold rookies from

Vaughn Charlton, TE/HB (Temple); John Clay, HB (Wisconsin); Terrence McCrae, WR (Ohio); Armand Robinson, WR (Miami University); Adam Mims, WR (Furman); Weslye Saunders, TE (South Carolina); Colin Miller, C (Central Michigan); Trevis Turner, OT (Abilene Christian); Brent Greenwood, S (Iowa); Niles Brinkley, CB (Wisconsin); Eric Clanton, OLB (Citadel); Mario Harvey, MLB (Marshall); Miguel Chavis, DE (Clemson); Anthony Gray, DT (Southern Miss); Eric Greenwood, WR (Idaho).
