Watch Derek Holland’s Harry Caray impersonation here.

If the Texas Rangers go on to win their first World Series, Derek Holland’s pitching performance in a pivotal Game 4 will be one of the key reasons why.

In a series in which Rangers’ starters have struggled at times and been shelled at others, Holland was phenomenal in a near must-win game for Texas on Sunday night, going 8 1/3 innings without allowing a run in a 4-0 win.

The guy with a ridiculous mustache also seems to be keeping his teammates calm under pressure with some dugout silliness. During Monday night’s Game 5, Fox’s dull-as-a-lampshade duo of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver spruced up the monotony by letting Holland call the game from the Rangers dugout.

Here’s Holland doing his best impersonation of legendary baseball broadcaster Harry Caray following his Game 4 gem on Fox 4...

And here’s Holland as Caray calling a few pitches during Game 5... with a little Governator sprinkled in at the end for good measure.

Holland’s got a sense of humor, no doubt, which is more than can be said for the Buck-McCarver duo. The guy’s got a future in the broadcast booth (or perhaps on SNL) when his arm finally gives out.
