The Panthers are seeking to replace Richard Marshall, who was one of 51 players signed by the Arizona Cardinals in the feeding frenzy that ensued after the NFL and players reached a labor agreement.

Rogers, 30, was the ninth overall pick out of Auburn in the 2005 NFL draft and started 41 games over six seasons in Washington. He has 299 tackles, eight interceptions (along with a propensity for dropping them — just Google “Carlos Rogers hands”) and four forced fumbles.
