Tiger Woods will not play in the AT&T National — his tournament — next week because of left-knee and Achilles injuries that sidelined him for the U.S. Open.
Doctor’s orders: sitting out the #attnational. I’ll be in Philly to support the event. Feeling stronger every day, but not 100%.
Woods, whose decision was initially reported by Comcast SportsNet, suffered the injury during the Masters in April and has played only nine holes at Sawgrass since then.
The tournament is usually held at Congressional Country Club, site of the U.S. Open. Last year and this year, it will be played at Aronimink Golf Club near Philadelphia. Play begins June 30.
