Vince Young and the Washington Redskins? Why not? A quarterback controversy — even if it’s Quarterback Controversy Lite — is just what this town needs.

A report out of south Florida, where the Miami Dolphins are also QB-challenged, surfaced late last week linking the Tennessee Titans controversy-laden quarterback and Washington.

Omar Kelly, who covers the Dolphins for the Sun Sentinel, wrote: “The Dolphins will also have competition from other quarterback-starved teams like Arizona, Seattle and Washington. ... I’m hearing the Redskins are the front-runner for his services, so it’ll be interesting to see if the Dolphins get in the game.”

In January when we asked about the Redskins and Young, readers overwhelmingly said the Redskins should go in a different direction. Now, with Donovan McNabb and Rex Grossman on the roster along with John Beck — whom Mike Shanahan professes to really, really like — it’s gaining a bit of traction on Twitter and from, among others, Jamie Mottram at Mr. Irrelevant. Has your opinion changed?
