“I’m going after Romney,” Cain said in a radio interview with Neil Boortz on Tuesday morning. “I have a very penetrating question for him.”
As for the Texas governor, whose decline in the polls has redounded to Cain’s benefit, Cain has a different strategy.
“I don’t need to go after Perry,” he said.
Perry, who has the most to gain and lose in the Washington Post/Bloomberg TV debate at 8 p.m. Tuesday night, might have a different strategy. And Cain, who said his 9-9-9 plan will get a full hearing tonight, expected that his new status as top-tier candidate would mean that he is going to get different treatment.
“All of them are going to try to attack me,” Cain said.
