First Read today on a NBC News/WSJ/Telemundo poll: "Obama leads big with Latinos, but enthusiasm still lags."

A month ago: "While Obama continues to lead among Latinos by similar margins to what he won in 2008, there are indications that Latinos’ intensity continues to be lacking."

June: "Obama leads big with Hispanics, but they're not fired up and ready to go yet."

And May: "[H]ere’s a troubling sign for the Obama campaign: Latinos aren't as excited about the upcoming election."

Only 61 percent of Latinos are very enthusiastic in the latest poll — putting them 20 points behind all voters and close to 20 points behind Latino enthusiasm at about this point in the 2008 election.
