In discussing the Justice Department’s subpoena of the Associated Press’s phone records, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly raises a familiar talking point at his place of employment: “The AP has been exceedingly kind to Barack Obama, so there’s no politics involved in it,” O’Reilly said in a chat with Kirsten Powers and Kate Obenshain regarding the White House’s ongoing difficulties.

It was a timely swipe at the AP, in a way: About a year ago, Fox News chief Roger Ailes said in a interview about AP: “It tips left all the time now.” Last fall, too, O’Reilly claimed that it was biased against then-presidential candidate Mitt Romney. “I think that’s true, beyond a reasonable doubt,” he said.

Yet it’s still not hard to find AP stories on FoxNews.com.
