The Daily Show has found a “truly interesting window” into the “trustworthiness” of Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. It’s not an investigative report on his programs or even an analysis of his public statements on intelligence programs. Rather, it’s the agitated way that Clapper rubbed his forehead at the moment that he answered a question from Sen. Ron Wyden in a much-cited March hearing about whether the government was scooping up “any type of data at all on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans?”

“No, sir,” responded Clapper. As he said that, Clapper rubbed the right side of his forehead, prompting the Daily Show’s John Oliver to remark, “No spy should have that big a tell. … Is it hot in here or am I just lying?” How did Clapper look before the head-rub? The Daily Show has that top-secret photo.
