MSNBC yesterday self-destructed after its official Twitter account framed the country’s “rightwing” as opponents of biracial marriage. The network’s president, Phil Griffin, apologized for the offense and a staffer was dismissed over the episode.

It was only a matter of time before someone invoked the question of how the event situated MSNBC vis-a-vis conservative cable network Fox News. In a segment on Bill O’Reilly’s show last night, Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham got a jump on things: “This would never happen at a place like Fox,” she said.

No. Never. No way.
