Robert Durst is a real estate heir who’s one of the creepiest fellows going. A New Orleans judge just approved a more than seven-year sentence for Durst on a weapons charge, but the 73-year-old faces a more fraught case in California, where he has been charged with “killing his friend Susan Berman in 2000 to keep her from talking to New York prosecutors about the disappearance of Durst’s first wife in 1982,” as the Associated Press puts it.
