In an interview with President Trump that aired on Super Bowl Sunday, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “killer” as a means of drawing out the commander in chief on U.S. policy. “Lot of killers,” responded Trump. “We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think — our country’s so innocent? You think our country’s so innocent?”

The Kremlin disapproved. As noted here, it requested an apology from Fox News. O’Reilly resists apology requests even when they’re well founded, so he’s not about to granted a frivolous one. “Apparently the Putin administration in Moscow demanding that I, your humble correspondent, apologize for saying old Vlad is a killer,” said O’Reilly. “So I’m working on that apology but it may take a little time. You might want to check in with me around … 2023.” He also recommended a book for those who wanted more information about Putin’s “violent history.”

Good work, O’Reilly.
