Citing unnamed industry sources from a Taiwanese newspaper, the report said that the first shipment of the computers would have 380,000 units.

The last refresh the computer saw was in 2010, when the company introduced the 11.6-inch model.

On Friday AppleInsider, which raised the possibility of a June release last Friday, reported that the new models would see a chip upgrade to the Sandy Bridge processor putting the graphics and main processor together, increasing speed.
