Before the handset has even been announced, Robert Shoesmith has started lining up sponsors for a planned three-week campout in front of the Covent Garden Apple Store. Shoesmith has said he won’t buy anything during his outdoor stay. Instead, he’s seeking sponsors and donations to stay in the pink of health while he’s in line.

Shoesmith has already secured more than $65,000 in goods from companies that want in on the promotion. According to an article from Metro UK, these donations include a Chevrolet, camping equipment and tons of free meals from restaurants in the area.

Shoesmith will be donating any reusable goods to charity after he finishes his unusual quest, the report said.
