Users have been expecting the feature since the 3DS launched in March. But the announcement comes at an awkward time for Nintendo, which needs to woo customers as it faces stiff competition from Sony, Microsoft and smartphone games.
Backlash against Netflix’s decision to change it pricing plans continues -- something CNET reported that the company prepared for by telling customer service representative to expect angry calls.
According to an informal poll from Business Insider, 41 percent of Netflix subscribers it surveyed said that they plan to cancel their subscriptions. A similar user poll from Geekwire found that 40 percent of its readers said they would cancel.
Gamers may be one market that Netflix shouldn’t have to worry about, actually, since integration with the Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 is a major perk on all the consoles. Users can watch Netflix on their televisions through any of the three major consoles, though it does require an Xbox Live Gold membership for the 360.
