Sprint users are complaining that text messages on the network have been delayed or arriving in pieces.
Sprint representatives say that the company is aware of the issue and is “working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.”
According to users, the problem involves text messages coming from users on other networks. Some have been arriving late, some have been separated into pieces, often below the character limit, and others have arrived out of order.
Customers have been able to send outbound texts and have no problem when receving texts from other Sprint users.
Users have been complaining about the problem on Sprint community forums since as long ago as June 22, and some say that they can’t receive any off-network texts.
Sprint representatives on the message boards have said that they have been given no guidance on when a fix may come through but assured users that they are looking into the issue.
