YouTube hit with a short outage

YouTube was hit with an outage on Friday afternoon.

Friday the 13th is hitting Google in a big way: just as its Blogger network started stumbling back to its feet, YouTube was hit with a brief outage.

There’s no word on what caused the video site’s outage — logically, one would turn to Twitter for a quick update, but the fail whale greets anyone trying to get to the micro-blogging site as well.

It's been a bad couple of months for web services -- maybe the bad mojo in air on Friday the 13th was just too much.
