George W. Bush’s presidential library is still under construction, but his Web site isn’t.
The National Archives on Monday announced that the library has gone live with a newly-designed Web site that replaces a bare bones page composed mostly of text and links and Bush’s official presidential portrait. That Web site was curated by the National Archives. The new Web page is handled by Southern Methodist University in Lewisville, Tex., where the library will be located.
On the new Web site, users can browse architectural renderings of the forthcoming library, review photo galleries, including images of his handling the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and a sneak peak of presidential documents, such as state dinner menus and programs from White House Easter egg rolls.
The library is expected to open next spring.
