Free agent wide receiver Vincent Jackson agreed to a five-year, $55.6 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a person with knowledge of the negotiations said. The Buccaneers later announced the signing.

Jackson’s deal with the Buccaneers includes $26 million guaranteed and will pay him $36 million over the next three seasons, the person said. Jackson leaves the San Diego Chargers.

He drew interest from the Washington Redskins. But Jackson quickly focused Tuesday on his negotiations with the Buccaneers while the Redskins turned their attention to deals with free agent wideouts Pierre Garcon, Josh Morgan and a potential deal with Eddie Royal.

Jackson topped 1,000 receiving yards in three of the last four seasons with the Chargers.
