Crowd of 24,650 shows up for Redskins’ fan day

The Washington Redskins estimated the crowd at their fan day Saturday at Redskins Park at 24,650.

The attendance figure Saturday failed to break last year’s fan-day record, according to the team.

Coach Mike Shanahan addressed the crowd after practice and said: “I really think you’re going to love this football team this year. We have more depth and more competition than we’ve had in a long time.”
