Donte Stallworth says he's coming to Washington to fight for playing time. Stallworth hasn't had more than 20 receptions or 200 yards since 2007, but he hopes to be a contributor for the Redskins.

“I'm not asking for a handout,” Stallworth told Scout's Aaron Wilson Wednesday. “I just want to show what I can do.”

Stallworth, who missed the 2009 season due to suspension after pleading guilty to felony DUI manslaughter, agreed to terms on a one-year deal earlier Wednesday with the Redskins. Last season, he was a little-used receiver for the Ravens who actually finished the year with more rushing attempts than receptions. He had two catches for 82 yards on the year and 45 rushing yards on five carries.

"It will be fun," Stallworth said. "I know Santana Moss, too. It will be a good chance for me to do some things. It's a good opportunity I’m definitely excited for the opportunity. The coaches talked to me, both Shanahans.

"I'm hearing from both Shanahans that I would have an opportunity to work my way in and do some good things with the offense.
