Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander is working to express appreciation for fans who have stuck with the team during these difficult years.
Alexander hosted a “fan appreciation” bowling outing Sunday at King Pinz in Leesburg. He announced a drawing for the event on Twitter and his Facebook fan page, and selected 25 fans.
“We had a great time,” Alexander said. “We bowled, ate, and at the end of the night I had a raffle for one of my jerseys. Our fans are some of the best in the world, and they’re supportive, even when we’re not doing well. So I just feel like it’s good for guys in the league to show our appreciation for the fans that show up, support us and buy our jerseys.”
Alexander said he hopes to hold a few more fan appreciation events this offseason.
