Neil Rackers had a good day in the Washington Redskins’ kicking competition. Graham Gano, not so much.

Rackers made all nine of his attempts in a field goal drill during Monday’s practice at Redskins Park. Gano missed four of his nine attempts, by unofficial count.

Gano’s misses came from 32, 49, 53 and 57 yards. The two kickers tried field goals from identical distances. Rackers now is 25 for 28 in field goal drills during training camp practices. Gano, the Redskins’ incumbent kicker, is 21 for 28. Each had been 16 for 19 before Monday’s kicks.

Gano connected on both of his field goal tries during a subsequent offensive drill Monday. Rackers missed one of his two attempts. Gano also made a 58-yarder during a last-second-drive drill for the offense late in the practice.
