Quick Hits: Morning practice update

Receiver Brandon Banks was back in pads after sitting out Sunday’s practice with slight swelling in his left knee.

Inside linebacker London Fletcher is an observer during this morning’s practice. Fletcher on Sunday only took part in positional drills, and afterward Shanahan said it was for rest, but the linebacker did have his hamstring wrapped midway through Sunday’s practice.

Running back Ryan Torain remains sidelined because of his broken hand. He was to return to the hand specialist at some point today.

Tight end Chris Cooley (knee) again was not in attendance.

Safeties LaRon Landry, Oshiomogho Atogwe and Kareem Moore remain sidelined.

Malcolm Kelly is still watching with a sore foot.

Mike Jones covers the Washington Redskins for The Washington Post. When not writing about a Redskins development of some kind – which is rare – he can be found screaming and cheering at one of his kids’ softball, baseball, soccer or basketball games.
