Wide receiver Randy Moss agreed to a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers, according to a source close to the situation.

Moss comes out of retirement to join the 49ers, who reached the NFC title game last season. He worked out for the 49ers on Monday, after having a workout with the New Orleans Saints last week.

Multiple news organizations also reported the deal.

Moss, 35, played for three teams—the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans—in the 2010 season, and totaled only 28 catches.

But he had 83 catches for 1,264 yards and 13 touchdowns as recently as the 2009 season for the Patriots.

He has 954 career catches for 14,858 yards and 153 touchdowns.
