Redskins injury report: Roy Helu, three others limited

Washington Redskins starting running back Roy Helu returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, a day after knee and toe injuries kept him sidelined, according to the team’s injury report.

Also limited in practice for the Redskins were right tackle Jammal Brown (groin), linebacker London Fletcher (ankle) and fullback Mike Sellers (elbow). Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said Sellers was more “limited-to-full” and that he believes that Sellers is likely to play Saturday when the Redskins take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Defensive end Stephen Bowen (knee), punter Sav Rocca (left ankle) and cornerback Josh Wilson (head, chest) participated fully in practice after receiving treatment for their injuries.

For the Vikings, cornerback Chris Cook missed practice for a non-injury related matter. Missing practice with injuries were cornerback Asher Allen (concussion/shoulder) and guard Steve Hutchinson (concussion), according to the team’s injury report.

Limited in practice for Minnesota were guard Anthony Herrera (knee), safety Jarrad Page (hamstring), defensive tackle Kevin Williams (knee) and linebacker Erin Henderson (illness).

Mike Jones covers the Washington Redskins for The Washington Post. When not writing about a Redskins development of some kind – which is rare – he can be found screaming and cheering at one of his kids’ softball, baseball, soccer or basketball games.
