Redskins injury report: Landry still sidelined with groin

Washington Redskins strong safety LaRon Landry remained sidelined by a groin injury as the team returned to practice Wednesday.

Also held out of practice, according to the team’s injury report, were punter Sav Rocca (ankle) and defensive lineman Chris Baker (quad). Rookie nose tackle Chris Neild missed practice for a personal matter, Coach Mike Shanahan said.

Limited in practice were starting defensive end Stephen Bowen (knee), right tackle Jammal Brown (hip), linebacker London Fletcher (ankle), cornerback DeAngelo Hall (back), left guard Maurice Hurt (knee), safety DeJon Gomes (knee) and receiver Terrence Austin (hamstring).

Practicing fully despite previous injuries were quarterback Rex Grossman (left shoulder) and fullback Darrel Young (concussion).

The Patriots had three players miss practice. Running back Stevan Ridley missed practice for a non-injury related reason, the team reported, linebacker Brandon Spikes sat with a knee injury and tackle Sebastian Vollmer sat with back and foot injuries.

Limited in practice were cornerback Kyle Arrington (foot), safety Patrick Chung (foot), guard Dan Connolly (groin), receiver Julian Edelman (back), linebacker Dane Fletcher (thumb), safety James Ihedigbo (shoulder), cornerback Devin McCourty (shoulder), receiver Matt Slater (shoulder), running back Shane Vereen (hamstring), receiver Wes Welker (knee), cornerback Ryan Wendell (calf) and running back Danny Woodhead (abdomen).
