The Washington Redskins have taken the field for their third day of training camp practices and are up to 84 players – six away from the league maximum of 90.
The team has added undrafted rookie free agent defensive lineman Thomas Weaver, a 6-foot-1, 300-pound Villanova product, who is working with the nose tackles.
Newly re-signed right tackle Jammal Brown and linebacker H.B. Blades are on the sidelines, waiting along with the other free agent additions until Aug. 4, when they can take part in practices.
Undrafted rookie free agents Marc Verica (quarterback, UVA), Joe Torchia (tight end, UVA) and Obi Ezeh (linebacker, Michigan), all of whom signed with the team over the weekend, are on the field.
Also added to the roster as undrafted rookie free agents are Isaac Anderson, a wide receiver out of Wisconsin, and linebacker Eric McBride out of Richmond.
Ezeh has been given the infamous No. 92 formerly worn by Albert Haynesworth.
Defensive lineman Darion Scott had worn No. 72, but as of today, he has switched to No. 93 – the number worn for six seasons by Phillip Daniels, who was released on Thursday.
The team was practicing Monday in shells, lighter versions of shoulder pads.
