The Washington Redskins have re-signed rookie cornerback Brandyn Thompson to their practice squad two days after waiving him to make room on the 53-man roster for running back Tashard Choice.

Thompson had been called up to the game day roster from the practice squad for Sunday’s contest against Buffalo because veteran Phillip Buchanon was nursing knee and neck injuries. He didn’t play in the game, however.

Thompson previously appeared in two of Washington’s first four games and recorded two tackles.
