The Washington Redskins just announced via Twitter that the first open practice of training camp will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

That will mark the first of 11 open practice sessions the Redskins will host.

Next week’s schedule consists of five straight days of open sessions (Monday, Aug. 1 through Friday, Aug. 5, all at 8:30 a.m).

Saturday, Aug. 6 is feature Fan Appreciation Day. Gates open at 10 a.m., festivities begin 30 minutes later, and practices begin at noon. The Redskins say 29,000 fans attended last year’s fan appreciation day.

The remaining open practices will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Aug. 8-10) and Monday, Aug. 15.
